Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver in Manson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional facility environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, facility grounds, perimeter locations, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site leadership, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
