Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming, orderly environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Assist with managing vehicle, driver, and delivery access at entry points, gates, and loading areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, the business location, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
