Job Description

As a Security Officer Emergency Response in Lockport, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors, employees, and stakeholders while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting security-related observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
