Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol - Access Control in Hillsboro, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarm-related activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare and research environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and support site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and report access concerns according to site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
