Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Route Driver in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations with integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
