Job Description

As a Security Officer Credential Validation in Elwood, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a secure flow of employees, visitors, and deliveries. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers entering and leaving the logistics and distribution location.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site policies; issue and collect access credentials as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
