Job Description

As a Security Officer Desk Communications in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a logistics and distribution location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a professional, secure environment while communicating clearly with employees, guests, and leadership. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk by greeting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel; verifying access requirements; and directing individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, maintain visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect credentials as assigned, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Carry out security-related procedures, including monitoring cameras, alarms, and other access-control systems from a stationary post when assigned.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, complete required reports, and communicate professionally with site personnel, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
