Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and respond to alarm panel activity. You will provide outstanding customer service while using computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate with team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership while maintaining accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Preferred experience with access control and badges.
• Preferred customer service experience.
• Preferred experience with alarm panels.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
