Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Protection Patrol in Chapel Hill, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
