Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Screening in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, screen visitors and deliveries, and support badge and access control processes. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and logistics location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Screen persons, packages, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering the facility in accordance with access-control and screening procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation; direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate screening, visitor, and incident records; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
